1996, Bonnie Pemberton founded Fe-Lines, Inc. As an avid
cat lover, Bonnie has always been aware of the difficulty in keeping
cats out of house plants as well as the painful decision many
cat owners face regarding whether or not to declaw their pets.
Most animal lovers generally shun declawing as unnatural and cruel,
but the problem of having thousands of dollars worth of furniture
destroyed by indoor cats is a viable problem as well.
After many frustrating trips to pet stores where no products
actually addressed these needs, Bonnie developed Sticky Paws® Furniture Strips, the only effective and viable
alternative to de-clawing. Cats as pets are abandoned or surrendered
to local shelters for two primary reasons: scratching / destroying
furniture and the cats’ behavioral change associated with
de-clawing, including inappropriate elimination.
Sticky Paws® Furniture Stripsare transparent adhesive strips that easily apply directly to home furnishings and anywhere else cats should not be, effectively stopping cats from scratching furniture and household items. All Sticky Paws® products use a proprietary patent-pending medical-grade water-based adhesive that won't harm pets or furnishings, and won't leave a sticky residue or discolor.
Sticky Paws® for Plants help keep cats out of house and potted plants. These 2" X 12" brown corrugated plastic strips are sticky on one side and can be easily cut to size to surround the tree in the plant's pot. Sticky Paws® for Plants are effective, waterproof and won't interfere with watering.
In 1997, Sticky Paws® received the "Cat Fancy" Editors Choice Award.
In 1999, CATsumer Report rated Sticky Paws® "Excellent".
In 2000, both Sticky Paws® Furniture Strips and Sticky Paws® for Plants received the first-ever ASPCA® Seal of Approval after their experts tested the product and validated the product claims.
In 2003, Fe-Lines launched Sticky Paws® XL, 9" X 12" sheets designed
to protect carpets, screens and other large surfaces. Sticky Paws® XL has shown to be a highly effective aid in helping cats overcome inappropriate elimination. It won the 2003 "Cat Fancy" Editors Choice Award.
In 2004, Fe-Lines launched Scratch This!®, a cardboard Scratcher with premium catnip, and in 2005 Sticky Paws® On-A-Roll® - 32+ feet of continuous Sticky Paws® with a built-in cutting blade for the ultimate in consumer convenience.
In 2006, Fe-Lines introduced the BusyPaws™ Scratch-N-Relax mat. This extra-large durable woven sisal mat can be used may ways and features a "Non-Slip" backing. In 2010, Fe-Lines will introduce HealthyPaws™, a dual-speed electric pet massager that is great for cats, dogs and horses.
From its inception, Fe-Lines has designed; developed and manufactured it's products in Dallas, Texas. In 2005, Fe-Lines began manufacturing in Shenzhen, China to better accommodate the needs of several retail and distributor partners.
The Fe-Lines manufacturing plant in Dallas, Texas is ISO9000:2001 certified and our manufacturing plant in Shenzhen, China is ISO9001:2000 certified. This ensures that all policies and procedures meet strict international standards. Fe-Lines mandates that all of it's suppliers be ISO-Certified. All Sticky Paws® products use an expensive, proprietary, patent-pending adhesive formulation that is made for Fe-Lines in the Unites States and in Taiwan.
Sticky Paws® products are produced the exact same way regardless of where they are manufactured. Our staff of experienced professionals manages each of our plants, and each production run and individual shipment is thoroughly inspected for quality and consistency prior to being released to our customers. Fe-Lines is also a proud participant in the "Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism" (C-TPAT), which requires substantial due diligence on our processes and premises.
The vast majority of Sticky Paws® and private-label products not manufactured in the United States are shipped to customers in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China & Hong Kong, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Sweden Netherlands and the UK. Five out of seven of our most popular items are made in USA, and we intend to keep it that way!
